Augmented and Virtual reality are both really neat technical advances that can be implemented into a classroom to almost allow for deeper explanation and further hands on abilities, without it actually being “hands on”. Personally, I was unaware of the fact that schools were using these virtual perceptions of reality in classrooms but I do think it is something that will keep students interested and interactive. I don’t know if I personally would use these methods of teaching in my class, though, just because it may take away from other sources that forces them to grow and learn. While I do think there are many pros and advantages to the use of them and they open up a whole new perception for students that excites them to learn, there are things that take away from the actual important facts of the knowledge. It is the way of the future, but I believe that it takes away from building real relationships and confronting real world situations.
